Going the Distance
Relationships come in many different shapes and sizes, as some would say. I think there are key things that keep a relationship and things that can destroy a relationship, which I have blogged about throughout the years I have been blogging. And I will continue to say how I feel and what I deem necessary when it comes to relationships and love. I think everyone deserves love and can have love in their life. It is all about perspective. Yet one thing I feel strongly about and feel is lacking a lot in today’s world is going the distance in a relationship. Now what does that mean? Going the distance…

It’s the New Year
It is 2023 now, and we are off to a new year. Makes me wonder about our wishes and dreams for the following year. I have made some for this next year, as I am sure many of you have too. A new year can bring new beginnings and further the good things in life. Now how does this work with love and relationships? Well, a new year means you can start anew in a relationship or maybe even start going out and see what is out there for you. A new year can also mean making deeper connections with those you love. Finding a sweet spot in your relationship…

So this is Christmas
Christmas has finally come and gone. I had a wonderful time with family and friends. I have come to think that this is what Christmas is all about. It is not about gifts or decorating. It is not about the food or goodies. It is all about our relationships and how we are with others. I love this time of year because it allows us to reflect and see who we are and what we want out of life. I like many things, but only two things I like most for the following year. I want success and love for me and everyone. As the song goes by John Lennon…

Need a Little of Christmas Cheer
I need some Christmas cheer, how about you? This year it is a bit different. I feel different. Maybe it is because Christmas is on the weekend, and kids will not get out of school until Christmas eve, or maybe it is the fact that I am still waiting on the snow. Or maybe it is because I have not found that perfect new Christmas decoration? Whatever it is, I feel like I am behind, and Christmas is about two weeks away. Although I have done most of my Christmas shopping, I still do not feel like it is Christmas. I feel the Christmas magic and romance are missing this…

December Music
As we enter December month, we start hearing Christmas music. How fun and joyful it can be when you are shopping or in the car and Christmas music starts to play that makes you wish to sing along. My favorite is when I am home and baking or cleaning. I will put the Christmas music on so I can sing and dance along with what I am doing. I find it puts more fun into what you are doing. One thing I have seen in books but have never experienced is Christmas carolers. We often watch movies where Christmas carolers go to a home and sing. Now I have no…

My Newest Book
My Noelle, my newest book, has come out for Christmas. It is a beautiful Christmas story. I will post a fireplace video each day on YouTube, each with the reading of part of my book. It is to give a little taste of my book during this Christmas season. You can buy my book on Amazon. I hope you enjoy it. Description: With her brother becoming sick, Noelle is forced to break into a lord’s home just to escape the cold. Unknowing that the lord would return to his home. Noelle is confronted by this man who rubbed her the wrong way every time. How could a man be so cruel…

Being Sick
One of the many things that come with this time of year is being sick. People will get colds and flues, and there is nothing we can do. This is not a fun part of this season, but a considerable part. We pray and hope that it all goes away before Christmas and all the activities of Christmas, but we do not know. Being sick can be the worse, yet it can also show you what someone is like. Is your partner someone loving and wishing to take care of you or help you? Or is your partner fearful and wishing to stay away from you? And for those who…

Cookies
My family has this tradition of baking every Saturday from mid-November to before Christmas. We bake pies and many, many Christmas cookies. The smells and the fellowship are fun and a beautiful tradition. I have come to love this tradition. It often makes me wonder about the romance behind cookies. We do not always think making cookies could be a romantic activity with your partner. Baking cookies with your partner, the touching and playfulness that could occur, is a lovely way of connecting with someone. Even if you do not end up throwing flour around or on the floor kissing, you can still create a connection by baking or cooking…

November
November, November, what can I say about this month. Well, in many ways, it is the month that preludes Christmas month. In some countries also the thanksgiving month. However, I see the month in the transitional season from fall to winter. It is where it gets colder, but not so cold we cannot go outside. It is in the month that snow starts falling and where the area that I live in, we are preparing for the best time of year. The Christmas season. It is one of my favorite times of the year. The smells, the movies, the fun, and the romance. I wait all year to have this…
