Love Means Showing Up
Showing up is a big part of a relationship, but it goes deeper than just being there. It means being present at the moment. Being present at the moment means you are there, listening, participating and not causing any trouble or hurt to those around you. You are there for your partner, which is the only thing that should matter. There are moments for us and moments for our partners, which should make a difference in how we act and react in situations. Being there does not mean avoiding. It does not mean complaining or making excuses. Being present means showing up for your partner.
Nowadays, people tend to forget about this essential aspect of being in a relationship. People make excuses to get out of showing up or just do not show up at all. People think that it is all about themselves or they are too afraid. Whatever the issue is, it needs to be dealt with because your partner needs you to show up for them as much as you need them to do it for you.
Everyone wants to find love, but love is a process. It is not something that is given but something that grows. And as a plant needs water and sunshine to grow, love also needs certain things. Showing up is one of those things that help love grow between two people. Where there is love, there are many good things.
