• Can love grow over time?

Love is a funny thing because I have seen love start from the beginning and it grows over time. Sometimes it can be that two people start as friends and grow into loving each other. Sometimes an arranged marriage can turn into a love match. So I do believe that love can be learned over time. Because for me love is something that can grow. To me, love is like something that a person can find or a person can learn over time. It is both, a quick process or a slow process, but every person can find it and learn how to be in love. True love can be…

  • Is love real?

Of course, I would believe love is real, but for the purpose to prove it, I will put my bias nature aside and look at it from a different perspective. Love can be hard to see and therefore can be easily believed to not be real. Also, lust and attraction can fool people to see love when there is no love. Love is an emotion that people use to determine a deep connection and care for another fellow human. And because this is something impossible to measure, a person could believe that it does not exist. But on the other hand, can any emotion be truly measured? Emotions are not…

  • Mending a heart

Mending your heart can be one of the hardest things that a person does for themselves. But it is necessary so that resentment and hatred do not take root inside your heart. One thing that I have learned about mending a heart is that you must learn to love yourself to be able to truly move on and heal from your heartbreak. In my writing, I find it fun to play around with characters and their hearts. How a story can start with a person having a broken heart, yet find their way in mending it. Sometimes it can take meeting the right person to help the person mend their…

  • When your love story starts with heartbreak

Often when writing, my character starts with heartbreak in some form or fashion. As I mentioned in my last blog, heartbreak is very much a part of love because we can fall in love with a person who is not meant for us. But heartbreak can extend to more than just falling for someone who is not meant for us, it can just be broken because of circumstances of life. Take my newest novel, one of the main characters, the king, suffered from a heartbreak, which turned him into a tyrant as a king. The novel is written with this heartbreak in the forefront. It is the cause for the…

  • Love and heartbreak

In the midst of heartbreak, we can find solace in the aftermath of the heartbreak. You may hurt at first, but in the end, you can see it as a benefit to yourself to have gotten through such heartbreak. Love and heartbreak go hand in hand. Not all love stories turn into heartbreak, but that without pushing past the fear of heartbreak can you find love. One thing I do know is giving your love away can be hard, giving your heart even harder. But one thing that I have learned through my experiences is that heartbreak is always a possible outcome of love. But life without love is a…

  • Sorry

I have to apologize for skipping my blog posting on Sunday. I had to spend my day at a hospital, but all is well now. As I was there for hours, it did make me think of how much hustle goes on at a hospital that people may not inquire to see what kind of good can come from a place like this. And yes it was a long and tiresome journey, it was also an eye-opener on certain factors in life. Take an older couple that I watched as I waited on my turn, how they were in for just one person but they stayed together and leaned on…

  • Technology and love

In my previous blog I vaguely mentioned how love has sort of changed with technology, but the root of love is still the same. What has changed is not the love itself but how we approach finding love. I do believe this is something worth knowing. Technology has allowed us access to more people, which allows us to find many people to find love with. In many ways, this is good because we can meet more people and have a better sense of what it is we want in our partner. However, there is a drawback, such as with more access to people it is harder to actually find love,…

  • Internet trouble

Sorry for not posting a blog yesterday, but I have trouble with my computer and the internet. It does make me think of how with technology changes so do certain ideas and methods that we find love. It is quite fascinating how love may remain the same but how we see it and approach it and find it can change over time. When back in the 1800s people went to balls to find their partners and now we go on apps to find love. But one thing that remains the same is that we all want to find love. It is a part of humanity, a part of us all,…

  • Love is to set free

If you love someone, set them free. If they come back they’re yours; if they don’t they never were. Richard Bach This quote expresses the idea of if you truly love someone and they love you if you set them free then they should come back to you. But I would say this would depend on circumstance. Because sometimes a good fight is what is needed and sometimes letting go is better for you. It all comes down to the circumstance of what is between the two people. Can two people who are truly in love end up far apart for a time and come back together? Yes, I do…

  • Love is so much more

Love is so much more than what a person can think. Sometimes it is indescribable. But what makes a difference between it being love and not just lust? As I have written in prior blogs, there are many ways to see love and to know if it’s true love and not lust. One thing that shows love is honesty in all things. But this honesty needs to be attached to being understanding when there is a misunderstanding. This means that you have to be able to admit when you make a mistake or misunderstand. Love is learning and growing with another person, not just pushing the other to change or…
